The collection comprises three main groups of garments: circles, folded and cut.
Maison Martin Margiela approached INTRO, a London based design and digital media company, to illuminate the collection. INTRO was briefed on the collection and sent garments from the three themes.
They decided to film the collection on 16 mm film and treated this film digitally in postproduction. The final result was a short film that demonstrated these main themes through real action film shoots and edits their film in London in September 2001.
The presentation of this collection was situated on the banks of the Seine beside the Louvre Museum at the Café-Tabac ‘Le Corona’, Paris.
